Functional Responsibilities

  1. Undertake, in close consultation with the Project Coordinator, the preparation of project implementation plans for all approved projects, including work programs, budgets, facility requirements, and staffing schedules;
  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive project planning including task allocation, tracking and achievement of all assigned and planned activities;
  3. Prepare Terms of Reference and Requests for Proposals, as needed for the selection of consultants, consulting firms, or NGOs.
  4. Provide sound policy advice, process management and program advisory support to Implementing Partners;
  5. Ensure the highest possible quality of delivery and devise strategies for increased program delivery and quality programming;
  6. Maintain and improve the program communication system to facilitate the dissemination of information and reports to all key stakeholders.
  7. Ensure monitoring and evaluation of the projects.
  8. Serve as resource person to relate with relevant departments at the central and field level to ensure optimal communication, information sharing and consultation;
  9. Promote information sharing environment in the office and serve as resource person on all aspects related to Public Health;
  10. Undertake other duties that may be assigned by the Project Coordinator

IV. Impact of Results
The effective and successful achievement of results by the Health, Safety, Social and Environmental Senior Analyst – Analysis and Reporting directly impact on the efficient performance of the program in order to specifically advise and report on the Program activities required to achieve the results of Rapid Response and Recovery for this project.
This contributes to the credibility of the organization as an effective service provider in project services and management.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education:

  • Advanced Degree/Master’s degree in health, public  health,  health  economics,  epidemiology,  social  science, statistics, or other related field  is required.
  • A first university degree (Bachelor’s equivalent) will be accepted in lieu of the Master´s degree with an additional  four (4) years of experience.

Experience:

  • A minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in the area of Public Health is required;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a complex environment is an added advantage;
  • Previous successful involvement with, and good knowledge of MOH, NGO’s and civil society would be an asset;
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, and ability to establish good working relations with colleagues and stakeholders in a sensitive environment is desirable;
  • Willingness to undertake regular field visits in difficult conditions is preferable;
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills would be an asset;

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English (reading, speaking & writing) is required.

Skills

  • Health – Public Health ( 2 years) – required.

Duration: Ongoing Open-ended, subject to organizational requirements, availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
