About the Role
As a Network Engineer, you will join our Network team, responsible for the operation, design, configuration, and implementation of SD Worx’s entire network infrastructure. Customer centricity is at the heart of everything we do.
You will work within a complex, multidisciplinary environment featuring Cisco switches and routers, Checkpoint firewalls, and F5 load balancers, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and strategic projects across the business.
Your Responsibilities
- Business Alignment — Align with business and project teams on requests and new services.
- Application Assessment — Evaluate new applications against architectural standards, policies, and regulations.
- Design Collaboration — Align network designs with other technical engineering teams.
- Incident RCA — Perform Root Cause Analysis of major incidents with senior engineers.
- Level 3 Support — Resolve complex network issues and provide advanced operational support.
- Change Preparation — Prepare network changes for CAB approval and deployment.
- Change Deployment — Deploy approved network changes.
- Documentation — Document solutions and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
- Environment Optimisation — Continuously optimise the current network environment.
- Project Support — Maintain and support projects, including data centre initiatives.
- Advanced Feature Design — Design and develop advanced features in a business context.
- Technical Leadership — Lead new designs/features within the network team, fostering collaboration.

Your Profile
- 5–10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in multinational enterprise networks.
- Deep knowledge of routing and switching.
- Expertise in WAN/LAN/Wireless LAN/MPLS/Cisco L3/ISE.
- Strong understanding of Static, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP protocols.
- Experience with F5 load balancers.
- Cloud network experience (Azure, Google, Amazon).
- Knowledge of VMware NSX (data centre projects).
- Firewall expertise (ASA, Palo Alto Panorama).
- Understanding of automation, IaC, and scripting (PowerShell, C#, Ansible, Nomad).
- Excellent incident management and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience implementing change requests and leading new design/feature rollouts.
- High integrity, transparency, and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Ability to deliver high‑quality, fast, cost‑effective results.
- Willingness to implement changes outside business hours and participate in 24/7 on‑call duty.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong teaching and mentoring skills for junior and intermediate team members.
